    A Strong Educational Offering

There was quite a strong showing of educational content and sessions this year, bringing in hundreds of subject-matter experts spanning the Oracle database, technology and applications landscapes. Oracle’s Tom Kyte, Andrew Holdsworth and Graham Wood hosted a crowd favorite, the IOUG Performance Engineering Deep Dive, as a spin-off of their popular Real World Performance Tour.

A Wide Array of Products and Solutions

The Exhibitor Showcase brought a lineup of Oracle solutions providers out in full force for a very busy and productive week. The booths and exhibits saw loads of traffic when the Showcase opened on Monday, and remained the conference hotspot through the remainder of the week. A Strong IOUG Community
Throughout the week, IOUG held a number of events specifically for its members and attendees. The IOUG Welcome Reception featured some great Special Interest Group (SIG) networking opportunities and a one-of-a-kind hacking competition. The IOUG Closing Session came in the form of a panel on the practical applications of Exadata, with very rousing, entertaining and informative debate between the two sides.
